Yirgacheffe is Ethiopia's most celebrated coffee region, where volcanic soil, high altitude and indigenous "heirloom" varieties (genetically diverse trees native to Ethiopia's forests, never hybridized) combine to produce some of the most expressive coffees in the world.

This lot is naturally processed: whole cherries dry slowly in the sun for several weeks before the fruit is removed, letting sugars from the pulp work their way into the bean. The result is an intense, layered cup: stone fruit and warm spice, with the clarity Yirgacheffe naturals are known for.
