Ethiopia - Yirgacheffe Natural
Located in Gedeb, within the renowned Yirgacheffe area, Chelbesa station sits at 2100 masl amid Ethiopia’s highland coffee landscapes. The station sources cherries from around 615 smallholder farmers cultivating 0.5–2 hectare plots. Semi-forest and garden systems thrive in rich, fertile red soils, supporting healthy trees and highly expressive coffees.
Ripe cherries carefully selected before drying whole on raised African beds. Slow, controlled drying preserves the fruit’s character, enhancing sweetness, complexity and vibrant expression while allowing the distinctive terroir to shine through.
Cup profile: Dense, juicy and intense. Cherry, red grapes and red fruits. Bright, winey and sweet from start to finish.
